The last few nights has seen more or less clear skies and since the moon was just full I had to step outside to take this picture of the moon rising above some treetops. I like the mystic feeling in this picture with the shining clouds around the moon and the treetops that makes a kind of frame in the picture. If you click on the picture and view it in large size you can get a better view of treetops.

Check out my other moon photos here. I especially like this one of the moon over a winter mountain and this picture of a “red” moon over the island Senja.
Note: This photo was photographed in the southeastern part of Norway.

  1. That is one of the best photos I have seen of the moon. The way the clouds cover the moon is reminiscent of many werewolf movies! Thumbs up on this one!

  2. this is a great example of a slow shutter release photo – you’ve got the balance just right.

and yes – it’s the kind of photo where you’re expecting a tall, hunchbacked werewolf to come into the frame any minute – and thats the essence of a great photo – it gets you thinking about what might be.

great site – i’ll be adding it to my list.
