I was walking in the forest the other day when the reflection of the sunset started to glow on the snow around me. I had to take a picture of the beautiful scene with the trees covering the sun making a natural filter for my camera.
If you look at the photo in large size you can see some spots where the snow has melted and some old grass is peaking through. Spring is right around the corner here in Northern Norway

In this picture you can see a small fishing boat that is called “sjark” in Norwegian, sailing on the fjord. These small fishing boats are very typical for the fisheries on the coast in Northern Norway and I’m hoping that some day I will be doing fishing from a sjark too. They can be quite expensive to buy especially if you want to buy the boat with a quota for commercial fishing.
The spots over the boat and in the sky are seagulls and not dust spots on the camera sensor/lens

Yesterday we had a beautiful and cold dusk here in Northern Norway. Had to take out the good old camera to capture some pictures of the sunset so I could share it with you all I liked how the thin birch tree created a bit of a frame for the scenery.
The mountains in the horizon is a part of an island called Grytøya. The same island can be seen in this picture of the first days of winter last year.
