Cruise ships are a very common sight here in northern Norway, during the summer. Often you can see several cruise liners in the horizon.

I really liked the clouds on this photo. Can’t be too bad being a tourist on that ship with a scenery like that.

Liked the contrast between the two ships on this picture. They are both filled with tourists, but I think I would prefer to be in the small boat.
Recent years there has been an increasing number of fishing tourists coming here from Germany, Finland and Sweden. Hope they do not catch all my fish ๐

I agree with you on the clouds; the ones in the first picture are more dynamic. In the second photo, I like the detail of the bird hovering over the small boat. Little things like that bring more life and interest to the photo, in my opinion.

Wow, I’ve always wanted to visit Norway.
Nic pictures. I think the first picture is much better. I like the contrast. Cheers and good luck to your blogging.
Great pictures, the water looks so cold… brrrr.
Stunning photos and landscape…reminds me of my home state, Alaska.
I like the photos. Never been to Norway, but plan to. Do you have some photos from the up north or with the fjords? Thanks!
By up north I meant the northernmost point of Norway – I’ve heard it’s beautiful to see the Arctic…
Thanks everyone ๐
Susie: Wow! I’m honored!
Daniel: Do you mean Nordkapp? I’ve actually never been there myself, but I hear it is fantastic. Must try to get there someday. All my shots are from the arctic as I live beyond the arctic circle.
The cruise liners are actually sailing on a fjord, but it is hard to see when you are photographing from sea level. I’m awaiting a wide angle lens and when it arrive I’m gonna take some mountain trips to photograph the fjords around here.
Yes, Thomas, I was referring to Nordkapp (well, didn’t know it’s called this way). You live beyond arctic circle? Very nice – but I guess you have to resist the nature, it must be pretty cold. I bet you do your vacations in Spain or Portugal ๐
