A Day of Waves and Sounds

Was a very windy and snowy day. Got a little beach trip inbetween the snow.
The waves was very impressive and the pictures don’t give them credit at all of their size and massive energy. You could really feel the forces of nature.
Tried to record the sound of the beach with my mp3 player. You can hear the small rocks when the water is going out and a seagull crying out.
Here is the mp3: www.thomaslaupstad.com/lyd/waves.mp3 (623KB)
Sorry about the wind on the mic.

In this photography you can see the island Senja. It is the second largest island in Norway with it’s 1586,3 km².

In the horizon you can see some fata morgana. Fata morgana is an optical phenomenon which results from a temperature inversion. Objects on the horizon, such as islands, cliffs, ships or icebergs, appear elongated and elevated, like “fairy tale castles”.
