The Oslofjord in Norway was covered with ice this winter due to some very cold periods, and since I travel by ferry over the fjord almost every day I was able to get some pictures of the broken ice.
The ice wasn’t that thick so the ferries were able to travel, but smaller boats had to stay in the harbors.
And here is a picture where you can get a closer view of the ice covering the Oslofjord. Ice and snow can be beautiful!

Snow and ice IS beautiful and you’ve captured it so very well!
Norway offers such a spectacular scenery. But the roads are really bad.

beautiful photos
Really neat Tom! Even the ice and snow have so much detail.
Very cool shots of ice broken up… as you said ice can be very beautiful, but oh so treacherous too…
The pattern formed by the ice is good. 🙂
Love your site – can you join me on the 5th??? See my blog for info…

This photo is really super!
I have to agree with Renny. it may be cold but you have captured the beauty within the ice. It’s been way too long since my last visit here.
I took a summer break and am just getting caught up again.
Wonderful photos as always!
