Evening picture of Aker Brygge shopping center in Oslo
Taken with Olympus E500 digital camera February 26th 2009. Click image for larger view.
Aker Brygge is an area in Oslo by the sea. It consists of shopping centers, offices and expensive apartments. Aker Brygge is known to be a pricey place even for us Norwegians.
Every time I go to Oslo I visit Aker Brygge as the ferry from Nesodden (where I live) to Oslo ends up at Aker Brygge.

In this picture I have photographed the main entrance of one of the shopping centers at Aker Brygge. I really enjoyed the blue tones of the evening behind the building and I liked the special perspective you get when you put the camera on the ground with all the pebbles and planks. If you click on the picture and view it large you can see some of the people walking by.

  1. Great shoot of a well know tourist attraction in Oslo. I sometimes hang out there with friends and hope to meet you one day there too!

  2. Hi Thomas,
Have you seen the Eternal Peace Flame at the end of the Aker Brygge boardwalk? I visited there last November and here is a link to a blog post/short video I made about it. http://tinyurl.com/cyu6je
Then afterwards be sure to eat the The Fragrance of the Heart Cafe across from City Hall. Very affordable vegetarian food and more photos of the Eternal Peace Flame.

  3. I love this picture so beautiful. I have never tried taking a picture from the ground like this, what a great idea.

    Love and Blessings,

  4. Shopping centers are shadowing the beauty of Cities. What could be better? We have to live w/ them.
Btw, very good approach to Norwegian life on your page.
