Our rooster (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a handsome fellow that likes to show us who is the boss in the “flock” is. He takes the role as a protector of the hens very serious and can sometimes be pretty aggressive towards people.
In between crows I was able to take a portrait picture of him while he was posing on some rails. I advise you to click on the picture to look at our beautiful rooster in full size.

Even though the rooster can be aggressive it will protect our hens against dangers such as cats, foxes and hopefully against attacks from hawks. Daily our hens give us tasteful eggs which would be a pity to lose.
