Picture of bad weather on the west coast of Senja in Northern Norway
Taken with Olympus E500 digital camera January 27th 2008. Click image for larger view.
I was visiting the island Senja this weekend, but the weather was really bad with blizzards hitting us all the time. In between the snowfalls I was able to go outside and have a look (and take a few pictures) at the ocean in turmoil. In this picture you can see the west coast of Senja where the island meets the Norwegian Sea and next piece of land is Greenland. The waves can be massive if the wind come from the right (wrong?) direction.
The mountain on the left is called “Teisten”.
Check out some of my other pictures of waves here and here.
