Sunsets might not be the most original or artistic thing to photograph, but I still love a good sunset photo because it reminds me of how beautiful the nature can be.
Here is my personal top 5 favorite sunset pictures that I photographed during the summer 2007 in Northern Norway.
Update: Title supposed to say 2007, not 2008.
You can now buy the 2009 Norway photo calendar that includes some of these sunset pictures.
You can click on each title to read more about the individual photos.
Hope you enjoyed the photos 🙂
All pictures taken with an Olympus E-500 DSLR.
Follow Photos from Northern Norway on Facebook.

Hey Thomas what plugin do you use for that cool image effect? The one that fades up with the loader over the page. I’ve been looking for that, but don’t know what it’s called.
amazing photos. My favorite is the second one.
Great photos as normal
Nate I think it may be lightbox
Thanks all 🙂
Yeah, I’m using lightbox. Had to try several different plugins to get it to work. Using WP lightbox JS 0.8.2.
Right on that’s what I was looking for. Thanks for the heads up guys!

I love photography B&W mainly, but these pictures are really good work and Norway looks really nice.

In the second photo your timing couldn’t have been more perfect, and I love the framing.
I was surprised that these are summertime pictures, they look autumny to me…. looks like a wonderfully unique place on the earth, would love to visit.

PLEASE PLEASE make them high res as my desktop.Between working I could just take a short mini vacation just looking at your shots!
Love the pictures! When I look at them it feels I am on vacation instead of just staring at my desk top. Very, very nicely taken, thanks sharing the photos, love ’em

Awesome pics.. especially the second one. Is it possible to get a high res from somewhere to use as a desktop wallpaper?
Wonderful!
Would you take me to this places (as a guide)? Norway… hmmmm… not so far from Croatia 🙂

I noticed the time on the first picture….. sunset at 1:30 am! that is so cool!
I have tried taking sunset shots and i found out one very important thing, the sun goes down in Malaysia very fast when it hits the horizon. By the time i set up my cam the moment is lost 🙂 . Remind me to set up a shot very well in advance please and then only maybe i’ll have something to show. I like your sunset shots.

Absolutely some of the most beautiful pictures I’ve seen. You are a real artist with a camera! Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful!!
I like the first one. It’s like a painting.
Can’t believe we’re living on the same earth, jungl.
These are absolutely stunning. I love sunset images, I wish I could capture ones like these.
Stunning sunsets, at dawn?! In the Philippines, the sun sets between 5-6pm at any given day of the year. Now I have a longing to come visit Norway! And how about Aurora borealis? That could be pretty interesting too! Cheers!
